RSU Awards Evening

Hi there my lovelies, welcome back to my blog. Today I fancied just a chatty little post about what I got up to today! (Hence why it's been so lately uploaded!)

As you may or may not know, I'm just completing my final year at University of Roehampton in London. I study Media, Culture and Identity and in my spare time I'm a part of the community of students. You may be wondering from the title, but 'RSU' stands for 'Roehampton Student Union' and tonight they were hosting Award Evening to celebrate all the talented souls of the university. 

What was I doing there I hear you ask? 

Back in February, I founded the Roehampton Disney Society, no big shocker there, I am a little bit of a fan to say the least. Since the start, I've also become the President and created many different socials and events for the students of Roehampton to enjoy! 

I was informed a couple of weeks ago, that the Roehampton Disney Society had been nominated for an award. Amazing news, and tonight was the night. Myself as my Vice President (and one of my best friends) Izzy Dennis, put on our ball gowns and celebrated like we'd never had. 


Upon arrival, we were given a glass of champagne and we found out that not only we'd been nominated for Best New Society, but also I had been nominated for Best President of the Year! An unbelievably honour, I'd like to thank Jaimini to thank for the nomination - you should all go check out her blog (I'll leave a link here) as a massive thank you!

Alas, we did not win anything, however we did win one thing, inspiration. Seeing all the amazing students at my university celebrate their unique-ness and achievements, really made me happy. I can't wait to make this society the best it can be, and make Mr Disney proud.

Disney CEP Pre-Screen Advice | Interview No.1

Well, hi-hey-hello there friends, it's another sunny Saturday and I'm here yet again to sprinkle some Disney magic into your day!  Now, I am assuming you're here because similarly to my previous posts, you wanna work at Disney World, correct? Well, you are in the right place! Within this blog post, I'll be telling you my tales of attending two different Pre-Screen Interviews; being rejected and accepted.  We're gonna travel back in time to September 2016, my first Pre-Screen interview.  I was invited to my first pre-screen on the Tuesday 27th September 2016. The event takes place in Epping, in Essex though you can travel there on the Central Line from London. It comprised of a presentation, then a group interview. 'The Black Pearl' Candle by Maple & Whisky

"Yo ho, yo ho - a pirates life for me..." Ever since I was little, my favourite ride has always been the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland Paris. I've been obsessed with the franchise since I was about nine, when I was given all the films for Christmas.  When I heard a Etsy shop by the name of Maple and Whisky were creating Disney-inspired candles, I jumped at the chance to purchase one.  And so I did! I decided to treat myself to their newest candle, The Black Pearl . As pictured above, I bought myself the smaller addition in the 8oz jar (larger being 12oz) for only £8.30. All candles are handmade to order, and the company gives you the option of two different wicks and waxes.  I got mine custom made with a woodwick and a paraffin soy blend wax.
