2018 New Years Resolutions

Image
Well hi-hey-hello there friends. Welcome back to yet another blog post! As I promised in my last entry, another little memo was sure to come and here it is, my New Years Resolutions for 2018.  These will be a mixture of more general resolutions for myself, and ones for this creative outlet. Number One Upload Every Week. I've been on YouTube for almost five years now, and its been a bit here there and everywhere... In 2017 I uploaded just over 52 videos in the year which was my resolution for that year. Therefore my resolution for 2018 is to continue uploading one video a week, and maybe try two videos a week! Number Two Graduate University. Now surprisingly, this will definitely happen. I thought it'd be best to have something on my list of resolutions I definitely will do. I won't be able to attend my graduation along with my class, however I will be postponing it as I will be in Florida at the time. Number Three Do My First 5K Run. I joined...

Reflection on 365 Days of 2017

Image
If you're reading this, hello. This blog has seen a fine layer of dust as of recent, but thanks to you, we're polishing off the typewriter.  2017 is coming to an end and with 2018 just around the corner, I thought it'd be most suitable to start the year as we wish to go on. Creativity. Well...more about writing blog posts and diary entries.  Shall we start from the beginning?  The start of the year began as I expected, negatively though optimistic. Returning for my second term of second year, I knew the end was in sight. My troubles with my flat mates had progressed, not very well as I left the house with a broken mug - it was a Disney one as well! - but I learnt to stand up for myself. Fast forward nine months, I moved on campus, now living with seven other lovely ladies - none of which have broken my mugs...  As I mentioned, I was hoping to obtain a part-time job and I did! I ended up working in a local theme park which gave me so many skills and a...

Hello there my little dreamers!  Long time, no see... Am I right? I'm so sorry for taking my time to get back to you all. I've been super busy working, studying and well, adventuring!  I guess the question is, what's happened since February - seems so long ago! Let me tell you, quite a few things... Shall we start at the beginning? I finished my second year of University - yay! I've completed second year with a 2:1 and a grade of 63 overall. I'm very happy with this, I worked so hard this year to get this grade, and hopefully, I'll work even harder next year to maintain it. Speaking of next year... I chose my modules for my final year and they are: Dissertation; Work Placement; Visual Research; Internet, Democracy & Society; The Modern Vampire; and Japanese. Yep, you heard me, I've decided to learn Japanese... If you want to follow my Japanese Journey , I've started a little series on my YouTube channel! Next up... Comic Con! My la...

Cosplay Update #2 | Changing Character?!

Image
Hello there my little dreamers!  Now, I expect you're all wondering from the title of this post, wait... changing your character? To what? Why? And I'm here to answer all those questions. I'm sure if you've read my last cosplay update, you'll know I had chosen to cosplay my bae Rapunzel from Tangled at this year's MCM, however... When I ordered my fabric, I went for a more pink tinted colour because as we all know Rapunzel's dress is a pink/purple colour, however when the fabric arrived... It was too pink for Punzie.  However, we do not like to waste fabric over here at Internet Princess, so I've decided to spontaneously change my character to Aurora from Sleeping Beauty .  So we're still keeping it in with the Disney theme. On that note, I have in fact started making the dress! Well, at the moment it's a skirt and soon will be a top. The skirt is almost done. It's made from a knitted velvet fabric (meaning it's sup...

Aladdin London Review & Group Booking

Image
Hello there my little dreamers! Today I fancied telling you all about my thoughts and opinions of the new West-End Show Aladdin London, in case you're interested in going to see it or if you want to know more about group bookings! I have wanted to see Aladdin since I first heard it was coming to London.  BOOKING For a long time, I had been planning a theatre trip to see the show for my University's Disney Society.  After advertising it, and contacting a worker of the theatre, we got a quote for £29.50 per student in the grand-circle. This is a lot cheaper than usual as its not only a group discount but also a student discount too!  As our university also offers funding to societies, we managed to reduce everyone's tickets down to £10 per person! As you can expect, there was many people attending... Thirty-eight in total.  PRE-SHOW REVIEW Before seeing the show, I had listened to the soundtrack so many times. More than I can count! I, ther...

January Favourites 2017

Image
Hello my little dreamers! Welcome back to another blog post, and our January Favourites. Within this post, you will get to find out about my highlights of January 2017... Favourite Moment: Yo! Sushi Masterclass Why? On Saturday 28th January, my boyfriend took me to the Yo! Sushi on Baker Street for a masterclass in Sushi making. He booked it for my birthday back in December, and we learnt everything from maki rolls to California rolls, and all the important facts about ingredients and the history. So excited to make my own home made sushi soon! Favourite Lush Product (Skin Care): Angels on Bare Skin Why? After finishing my pot of Let The Good Times Roll skin cleaners, I needed a new one, and so I decided to try something new, one of Lush's most loved skin cared product: Angels on Bare Skin. It's full of almonds and butters, topped with lovely lavender to give it a luscious smell! Favourite Lush Product (Shower/Hair): The Comforter Why? I've come to...

Veganuary Week Five | End of Veganuary?

Image
Hello my little dreamers!  Five weeks ago I took the challenge of being vegan for the entire month of January. Here we are with only three days left, how time flies... Now I bet you're all wondering, am I going to stay vegan? Signing the Veganuary pledge doesn't necessarily sign you up for life, only a month, so what am I doing now that a month is over?  Well, I'm sure many of you will be happy to hear that I plan to stay vegan, however I'll be a little less strict with myself. Veganuary was a chance to prove to myself that I can do vegan, so now that I know I can do it, I will apply it when necessary. However, if come a day that the only non-meat product on a menu is deep fried cheese, then so be it, until then I will aim to avoid all animal products. Eating out and being vegan, has been the most difficult part of this month. I'm constantly learning and trying new things, so I guess that's a plus. Since going vegan, I've never felt ...

Veganuary Week Four | Favourite Meals

Image
Hello my little dreamers! It's week four of Veganuary, how is it's almost all over? Seeing as I've now been vegan for three weeks so far, I thought I'd tell you all my favourite vegan meals, and hopefully you can take some inspiration from it all! Vegan Mac and Cheese Last week, I tried making vegan Mac and Cheese for the first time, thanks to the recipe by  Buzzfeed. Oh my gosh, who'd have thought it'd have tasted so great! Very simple to make, just boil some potatoes and carrots (and an onion if that's your thing, not mine...) then blend it all up with some cashews and spices (I added Turmeric and Nutritional Yeast) and pop it on top of your pasta!  Sweet Potato and Butterbean Burgers I love bean burgers. The one's from Nando's are to die for. I thought, I could probably make myself some of those, and so one afternoon when I was at my boyfriends, I boiled some sweet potatoes, beans and spinage together, then with a fork (because ...

Cosplay Reveal

Image
Hello there my little dreamers! I’m super excited to announce that my next cosplay will be Rapunzel from the Disney film Tangled. For about three years now she’s been my favourite princess. Her courage, desire for adventure, creativity and passion for everything in life makes me everything I aim to be. Plus, she has super gorgeous hair which I’m dreading to make, but it will be done. This cosplay reveal is also the reveal of my new series on Internet Princess, which will follow my progress making the costume itself. This will be a couple of weeks, with one post a month, focusing on the different parts of the costume. The end result will be showcased at MCM London Comic Con in May. This will be my fourth Comic Con, I’m planning to go bigger and better. May come as a surprise, but this isn’t my first cosplay as Rapunzel. However my first was for my last day at Sixth Form in 2015, and I did in fact buy the dress pre-made. But I have five months to pull thi...

Veganuary | Struggles Two Weeks In

Image
Hi my lovely little dreamers! It's a Sunday, and you know what that means... Another Veganuary update. We're officially two weeks into January, which marks two weeks without meat, fish, dairy and eggs (plus other animal produce), and as I said in my first post, I've put together five questions for future me to answer - and the time has come... How are you feeling? I'm doing pretty good. Feeling better than ever really. I'm drinking more water, eating more fruit, doing more exercise! What is the food you miss the most, and why? I definitely miss being able to grab chocolate from the cupboard or a corner shop. I really have a limit to what I can snack on, but then again it makes me a happier and healthier me! But what I have learnt is that for every non-vegan food, there will always been a vegan alternative! What’s your new favourite food that you’ve recently discovered? Ever since going vegan, it's like I've been teleported to a whole...

Moving Back to University: Mental Health Update

Hello my little dreamers! I hope you're all well. Today I fancied documenting a time in my life, where I've felt not one hundred percent well. Ever since moving to University, and living with people, I've felt anxiety like never before. This year is surprisingly worse than the last, so I thought it'd best be documented.  There are bad days, then there are good days, then of course there are the really bad days. These are the days I can't get out of bed until gone midday, the days where I'm scared to go pee in case I run into someone, the days where I feel like I don't have a voice. I'm sure many of you know, I am someone who documents their life a lot on YouTube. Often I will sit in my room, and talk to myself. This I've found very difficult as living in a house with five other people, you don't know who's listening. It's a bit like stage fright, but much worse. I said in my next video, that the one thing I want to focus on i...
