Aladdin London Review & Group Booking

Hello there my little dreamers!

Today I fancied telling you all about my thoughts and opinions of the new West-End Show Aladdin London, in case you're interested in going to see it or if you want to know more about group bookings!

I have wanted to see Aladdin since I first heard it was coming to London.
BOOKING

For a long time, I had been planning a theatre trip to see the show for my University's Disney Society.  After advertising it, and contacting a worker of the theatre, we got a quote for £29.50 per student in the grand-circle. This is a lot cheaper than usual as its not only a group discount but also a student discount too!

As our university also offers funding to societies, we managed to reduce everyone's tickets down to £10 per person! As you can expect, there was many people attending... Thirty-eight in total.

PRE-SHOW REVIEW

Before seeing the show, I had listened to the soundtrack so many times. More than I can count! I, therefore, had a rough idea of what to expect.

The show was just over two hours long and had a twenty minute interval.

We were sat in the middle of the Grand Circle on the right hand side. The view was amazing, we could see everything perfectly and hear everything just as well.

POST-SHOW REVIEW

As I mentioned, I'd listened to the soundtrack before so I was prepared, however hearing it through headphones and seeing it live are two completely different.

As this was an American show, it had many references that your standard American audience would find funny, however when we saw it in London, the Genie came on saying 'Nice to see you, to see you NICE' which any British individual would know is from Strictly Come Dancing.

The stage itself was magic, with electronically moving set and trap doors which make the characters pop into show. When I saw the Genie appear out of no-where after Aladdin rubbed the Lamp, I was left with my face jaw dropping.

There was many references to the film adaptation although it still stood as it's own creation.

STAGE DOOR

After the show had ended, myself and others headed to the Stage Door to meet the stars of the show. We got to meet not only Aladdin and Jasmine but also the marvellous Genie, who was the most loveliest person I've had the joys to meet!

This has been my quick review of Aladdin London! I'd definitely go again, it was a beautiful and remarkable production, absolutely dazzling!

If you've been, let me know what your favourite thing was in the comments.

Catch you next time...
