Bravery & Putting Yourself First

Being brave. It's something that we, as individuals, as people, take for granted.  As of recent, I have had to make decisions, and be brave, especially when it has come to looking for what was best for myself. It is so easy to get caught up in the world, the machine, and forget to think about what you deserve. Over the past two months, my life has been anything but organised and productive, and due to this, I haven't been keeping up with this blog or anything really.  Quick recap, I got a job! Not the job I told you last about, no, this one was only part-time, and I loved it! At first... There were numerous issues: the hours, the travel, the feeling like I was being picked on when I probably wasn't (but even if I definitely wasn't, I should not have been feeling like that); and after only one month I decided I had enough.  The thing is, I did not go and spend over £47,000 and three years of studying to only work part-time on a high-street. Although I do adm...

Post-Disney Catch-Up | 2018 Updates #3

Well, hi-hey-hello there friends! It would appear we've got a lot to catch up on.  This time three weeks ago, my Disney dream was coming to an end, as I neared my final shift. Don't worry, I am planning on telling you all about this summer in a whole new blog post, especially as I've missed keeping you all up to date this summer (whoops!), but let me tell you, oh my gosh what a summer it was!  As of this Friday (07/09/18), I will have been back in the UK for two weeks, and well as scary as it has been, I've been somewhat busy! It has been incredibly scary coming back from my dream job to unemployment and debt, however I'd like to think I've used my time wisely.  As of today (03/09/2018), I had my first phone interview for a graduate job that I really like, and well good news came through only fifteen minutes after the interview ended and I have a face-to-face interview! Here's to hoping it will be the start of something great. I do have a se...

IT'S ONLY FIVE DAYS TILL I MOVE INTO DISNEY HOUSING!   Oh my gosh what, since when did that creep up on us like wowweee!  As I'm sure you're all aware from the title of this blog post, today I'm going to be talking a bit about my role location on the program and where I'll be working! Disney CEP Acceptance Story

Image
Well, hi-hey-hello there friends!  Today I thought that I'd reflect on my own personal journey, with specific reflection on my acceptance story. I would like to think mine is a special one, I hope you all think the same. Before I came to university, I gave myself two goals; to work for Lush and Disney. Lush I managed to do within the first month of living in London ✅Disney, on the other hand, took a little bit of time.  I applied for multiple positions at various Disney Stores, coming close once in February 2016, however, tripping at the final hurdle. When the time came, I applied for the Cultural Exchange Program that would take place in summer 2017. Fair to say, as you all know, that did not go to plan sadly.  During my time at university, I worked as a cleaner, as a sales assistant, as a theme park host, and again as a ride host at a theme park. All this together prepared me for my second attempt, and last chance, to be a Walt Disney World Cast Member ...

Next Steps... | 2018 Updates #2

Well, hi-hey-hello there friends! So it's been a while since my last post, and I thought seeing as a lot of big things will be happening soon, I probably should update you all!  Only a few days ago, I said goodbye to Chessington for the second time in my life, after working there for two months. Although time there was short, I learnt so much and made so many friends, I can only hope to return back one day soon. I had my final shift on the Thursday just gone, and went out on my final ride! Although I'm sad to leave, I've traded in one theme park for another and it's only SEVEN DAYS until I become a Walt Disney World Cast Member!  Seeing as it's exactly one week until I move into Disney Housing, I've decided I'll be doing a week worth of blog posts all about different things to do with my program! So this is the first of an epic countdown!  The next few days for me are going to be a little bit hectic, especially seeing as it's...

Disney CEP Pre-Screen Advice | Interview No.1

Image
Well, hi-hey-hello there friends, it's another sunny Saturday and I'm here yet again to sprinkle some Disney magic into your day!  Now, I am assuming you're here because similarly to my previous posts, you wanna work at Disney World, correct? Well, you are in the right place! Within this blog post, I'll be telling you my tales of attending two different Pre-Screen Interviews; being rejected and accepted.  We're gonna travel back in time to September 2016, my first Pre-Screen interview.  I was invited to my first pre-screen on the Tuesday 27th September 2016. The event takes place in Epping, in Essex though you can travel there on the Central Line from London. It comprised of a presentation, then a group interview. At first, we had to talk to others sat next to us, then we were asked questions specific to the program and why we're interested in it. On Friday 14th October 2016, I got an email from YummyJobs rejecting my application. What happe...
